Keelan Harvick - 2022 IAME World Finals

Thirty-seven countries were represented at the 2022 IAME World Finals in Le Mans. Keelan Harvick had the honor of being the only American in the field. There were ninety-one drivers in the Mini class.

 

In the heats Keelan finished: P11, 7, 8, 3, 4 and won his prefinal! He started the final p2 but didn’t have the pace from earlier in the day. Even though he did not have the pace, ten-year-old Harvick would have liked, he still finished his first IWF in p5!

Here Comes Piper Grace Harvick

Kevin Harvick, who started his NASCAR career in 1995, has been married to DeLana since 2001. The couple have two children — son Keelan and daughter Piper. 

Keelan is already participating in organized racing . . . looks like little sis, Piper Grace age three is not far behind.

(Father Kevin was nicknamed "The Closer" for his ability to make late passes for the win (often with the commentators asking "Where did he come from?" because he often made them from a considerable distance behind, usually taking advantage of the leader running out of fuel in the last few corners)

Keelan Captures Pole in His First Go-Kart Race

Keelan Paul Harvick, Kevin's son, participated in his first go-kart race recently. The seven-year-old captured his first pole and ran all the laps!!!

Keelan Harvick Plays Drums With Jake Owens

The perks of being the child of a NASCAR star are rewarding. Below, you can witness six-year-old, Keelan Paul Harvick (son of Kevin and DeLana Harvick) as he is brought onto stage to play drums before the 61st Daytona 500 with Jake Owens.

Country music artist Jake Owen, a Florida native, grew up going to the Daytona 500.

“It’s a big deal for everyone whether you’re a Floridian or not,” he said. “I definitely came as a kid.”

Owen – whose 2013 hit “Beachin’” features Daytona Beach and its music video contains shots of the Boardwalk – performed the pre-race concert before the Daytona 500.

#NASCAR Kids Play Together On The Grass

The Harvicks and Kenseths families spend time together before driver intros before the "Great Clips 300 to benefit Feed The Children" Nationwide Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Harvick night was a smashing success, leading the final 159 laps to beat Joey Logano and win an unusually wreck-free NASCAR Nationwide Series race.  Harvick, who will start from the pole Sunday night in the NASCAR Sprint Cup race, took the lead on the 37th lap and ruled the 1.54-mile tri-oval for his third win of the season in 11 races.

 "Obviously, the car was flawless from start to finish," Harvick reported 

Matt Kenseth was quickest during happy hour for the Great Clips 300 with a speed of 177.738mph.  He qualified sixth and finished the race in eleventh - one lap down.

Kevin Harvick became a father two years ago, a day after his wife flew home unexpectedly from Daytona International Speedway. Keelan Paul Harvick was born that Sunday in North Carolina. He is the first child for Kevin and DeLana Harvick.

 "Waiting on Keelan was the longest nine months of my entire life," Kevin Harvick said at the time in a statement. "But time literally stood still when I held our baby for the first time. I've accomplished a lot in my life that I'm proud of, but those moments don't hold a candle to becoming a father and seeing that little face looking up at you. "DeLana and I are just amazed by how special and rewarding this is." 

DeLana Harvick had been in Daytona leading into that Saturday night's race, but returned to North Carolina for precautionary reasons. Harvick had Kenny Wallace on standby during the race in case he needed to get home. Harvick completed the race, but finished 23rd because he was involved in a late accident.

Harvick overtook Busch on the final restart and held off Brad Keselowski to win the NASCAR Nationwide Series race Friday night at Kentucky Speedway.

Richard Childress Racing driver Kevin Harvick may have come up short in NASCAR Sprint Cup Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway, but he did win a race of another kind.

Harvick was able to make it home in time to be present at the birth of his son Keelan Paul Harvick (pronounced Keylan) on Sunday in Kernersville North Carolina. Keelan weighed in at 6.8 lbs. and 19.5 inches.

Throughout the pregnancy, the Harvicks had jokingly referred to their son as “Baby Otis” on Twitter and in public.
